GOVERNING BODY

As per the Society Registration Act of Indian Law, NC, legally has an apex General body and an Executive Board elected by the general body members. The eligibility is that – an adult, without any political party affiliation, without having any job in the Government, must be an Indian, without any criminal record, and no mental illness is nominated to become a member of the legal society. The General body members elect the members for different positions to become an executive body member do a role of watch-dog on the regular activities facilitated by volunteers lead by 2 Executive Body member such as : Director and Treasurer. They legally certify the plan, process and progress of Natya Chetana. Only this body takes the policy level decisions.  There are 7 members in both the bodies. The Director and the Treasurer are fulltime volunteers to take decisions on movements and lead activities.

 VOLUNTEERS/ARTISTS

Natya Chetana has artist-volunteers of different types such as

WHOLE TIMERS- who are staying together and always available for action. They get a scholarship to maintain their lives when living in Natya Chetana; Presently Subodh Patnaik and Sujata Priyambada are leading the organisation giving whole time. There are two volunteers who take care of Theatre Village to safeguard the campus.

PART TIMERS – to whom NC needs but they have other regular appointments and give temporary time like Musicians and stage technicians etc. Nataya Chetana try to compensate with a negotiated amount which they loose from their professional engagements;

PASS TIMERS- are those who come to Natya Chetana in their leisure time because they love to be associated with theatre or Natya Chetana activities. Sometimes Natay Chetana expects these volunteers to pay like a school fees as they usually come for their pleasure or to learn a new activity. They are not expected to continue on a regular basis.

 CORE TEAM

There is a Core team representing the team of volunteers, who run the activities of Natya Chetana. They take decisions related to coordination and implementation of different projects and actions. Usually comprises of full time volunteers.

TEMPORARY MANAGEMENT TEAM

There use to be a Management Team for each of the project or activities which takes decision of all internal management of the activities and share responsibilities for the period of that event or action.

TEMPORARY PROFESSIONAL ENGAGEMENTS

There are some tasks which has to be conducted by professional like audit of accounts, electricity management, cooking for large number of takers, driving etc etc. where Natya Chetana buys the skill from the market, with an emphasis to get more services as an extra contribution for any tasks. They are temporary and are informal engagements for the professional tasks.
